| Would anyone be interested in doing a long club run on Sunday 18th July? With two coffee stops! I had in mind the following route:
Forres - Rafford - Dallas - Knockando - "Back road" along the Spey to Grantown (coffee stop 1) - up Grantown road to Lochindorb turn off - onto the "Drynachan loop" - eventually drop down to Nairn/Broadley Garden Centre (coffee stop 2) - back to Forres on the usual road past golf course, etc.
Not sure of distance - 70 miles plus I reckon with plenty of ups and downs. I'm going to do it anyway, as it's on my "to ride" list, come rain or shine. Maybe an 8am start from the club, so it won't take all day, at a pace to suit all. Don't all rush at once! ; - )

| Sorry guys. Sounds fantastic but we go on holiday on 17th for 2 weeks. Can't take road bike so will have to put up with the "nobblies" for couple weeks! | |

| Sounds good to me except for bit about 8am start and rain. 'Tis a good route and if the sun shines will be a great day out. | |

| Too many variables with this one perhaps. To coffee stop or not to coffee stop, weather not looking great, hefty mileage and climbing - probably putting a few people off understandably, start time, etc. As such, and for the sake of not wishing to "take over" a club run, I withdraw my suggestion. I can punish myself any time alone with this sado-masochistic route - that way I can also remove my saddle so I have to do it all stood up and wire up a car battery to the handle bars to give myself a jolt every 30 seconds - an old Yorkshire training method I picked up. ; - ). I'll be there Sunday for the "normal" club run - no doubt Dave will do his usual post......
Cheers
