Sunday Club Run - 29/08/10

Well it's almost the day of rest yet again, and for those of you not having a sleep in, doing the garden, mending the car or hung over from a Saturday night of excess of ale and kebabs, it's time to don your best black and gold lyrcra, do your hair, shout hallelujah and worship at the church of the Sunday club run.

As usual, meet at the clubrooms for 09.30am.

I'll probably be attending with my comedy jumping chain/gears. I might wear a revolving bow tie and red nose to complete the effect. I'm just waiting for payment to come through for my kidney and I can buy a new cassette and chain. Matt B.

Sorry Dave, can't make it today and most of the other riders will be competing in the 2-up and at the Scottish Track Champs.

Decent turn out once again, to say many were racing.

This week saw us on the backroads to Lossie to avoid the strong swirling headwinds, with a new coffee stop at Covesea Links (Not bad at all - Decent prices, good selection of cakes too - Matt was so impressed he managed to finish everyone else's....).

The rain somehow kept off and the return leg saw the pace really pick up out of Lossie, hitting 30mph+ on the stretch from Burghead to Roseisle.

'Diesel engine Liz' set a good pace on the on the return from Roseisle & well done to Lisa who rode exceptionally well on a borrowed bike and on only her second time out with the club.

Also, welcome to Martin who flew back with Matt, and who should really consider more racing next season !
