Just Keen to hear peoples ideas on Club runs,we have plenty riders but poor numbers out on runs. Its a shame as its a long winter it will pass quicker with more wheels and a bit of crack. Sundays are a day when i think the run could be tailored for all . Keen to here what people think cheers the now. Callum

Good idea. The Elgin site has good ideas re run protocol routes etc.

A run route may be helpful as it would give an indication of what type of run and if it is what you want to do. Poeple could plan out their training to accomodate the run into their particular programme.

My thoughts!!! Well for me im just happy if im not spat out the back on a Sunday or have to be carried home!! (which seems to happen a lot!!) lol The weekend runs are great, but with the dark nights its back to the garrage and the turbo!!! I wondered if any one would be interested in doing a group turbo night at the club room? or to go to the swimming pool and use the spinning bikes then into gym just to break up the week??

I've started running with the Forres Harriers - getting a good workout with them - and its safer running on the dark nights than on the roads.

Do think the turbo will get some use as well over the winter.

Never tried the spinning class thing - heard some good things about them for general fitness - not sure if they are much use for those specialising in cycling - anybody know more?

hi i am down for a spinning class next week,so i,ll let you know what its like.
I would be up for a n odd nights training at the club as Bambie suggests
trouble is i work at nights a lot.
In ye olden days we used to use the club for circuit training and weight training. We even used to go out for a run afterwards.Dont know if this sort of thing is of interest to anyone?
When i start training in november i,ll be quite happy to do a club run one of the days of the weekend but im not keen to ride the same tempo both days

cheers Peter

I would be interested in circuit training down at the club and running.

I tried the spinning once but didn't like it. I didn't like cycling in my trainers and the resulting sore feet.

Big Sunday runs sound very good but must be tailored to the pace of slowest rider.............that's probably me. Winter is long and a good blether makes the miles disappear without noticing....well almost.
Sundays from the clubrooms at 9:30 sounds good to me. What do all you others think?
