Well, over the years i've raced in some conditions, but today took the biscuit. 10 Degrees, pouring rain and a howling crosswind(worse than the deeside 10 last April). 4 riders packed early on after being blown over the road. Anyway-there was no prize for biggest belly(skeeners ran me close),or for 1st Nosca rider(lol),or for 1st handicap(i think i was the only person who improved on time entered)-so I left empty handed with a 35 second improvement on last season.Tickety boo.

Field of 53 riders. Lord only knows how 8 riders beat the hour.Crosswinds, headwinds BOTH ways.Truly dreadful.Special mention to the marshalls(on horrendous day) and the tealady who thought it was hilarious that i start as a gravedigger the morn!
Happy enough with everything-bodes for decent season. Bike and claes clartit in sharny dubz.PF
