Aberdeen 10TT/Bob Souter

This Sunday 28th Sep. sees the last Aberdeenshire 10 of the season start at 10:00 on the Garlogie course. Several FCC members are riding but there are spaces on the start-sheet if anyone else fancies one last crack at a PB before the season ends
Due to the posties not redirecting mail after I moved house I have become aware of some entries that have not reached me. If this is the case with anyone please be assured the event is still on and you will be given a place.
The HQ is Echt Hall, on the south side of the Echt crossroads and situated on the course so ideal for spectating if you want to cheer everone on.

Calum, Murray and myself rode the event today. Conditions looked good there didn'y seem to be too much wind and it was bright and sunny. Viewing conditions through glass and stepping out of the car gave a different view. It was cold at 7degrees with the wind strongest on the outward leg.

Murray was first rider off and maintained a steady pace throughout the event recording 30min 40s on the back of a night shift at work and finishing at 3 a.m. I was off behind Murray but he didn't have the decency to wait for me and I had to work hard to pull him back I managed a 25m 32s and missed my standard for this distance by 3 seconds still it gives me somehing to aim for next year.

Calum finished the last race of the season. A season that has seen him compete in grass track racing and road races. Having crammed a great deal of racing into a short period of time with a number of good placings. Calum recorded a time of 25m 39s and is looking forward to next year. The bug has bitten again.
